Gloomy Days

This may sound wierd and unnatural, but i LOVE gloomy days. The days where it is cloudy out and a little chilly. So basically Fall and in some cases spring. I dont understand why i like these days so much, but i do. I think it may be that i feel very relaxed when it is cloudy out. and its almost like i am in no rush to do anything. but in reality i have a ton of homework to do... oh well. What can you do i guess. But I love it Expesially when it storms out! thats probobaly the highlight of my day! I have always been interested in thunderstorm and even though about going to study them for a career but i decited not to. Dont get me wrong, i like summer and the sun and the warm weather but theres something about fall that i really like. Winter though, i dont know, its alright i guess. I so a little snow boarding and a lot of sledding but thats about it for activities in the winter. It is almost like i have the opposite of seasonal depression. Instead of getting all depressed, i actaully like it a little more. The gloomy days also lead to my favorite thing, watching movies on the couch. which may sound like i am a couch potato, but yea i guess i can be at somes, but i also like any kind of outdoor activitie.

I am a simple person and therefor i write simple blogs :)

High School vs. College

Just the other day someone had asked me if I liked high school or college better. I had to stop and think a little bit. But in this entry I am going to compare high school life to college life, just because this is the only topic I came up with :)

High school. Every day you are required to go to every one of your classes. You can also rarely leave the building unless you had a pass to do so. The lunch food was gross as well, and it’s not like we had a lot of time to go and eat somewhere. We only had 5 minutes in between classes. Every day was the same. Same class, same hour every day. Also all classes were the same length of time. On the plus side, the homework was a lot easier and there was less of it. Teachers would get on you and remind you about any homework due for the next day. There were bells for the start and end of each Class. And every student was on the same schedule. It seemed like everyone knew everyone in high school, and no matter what hall you walked, it seemed like you would know that person and talk to them. but along with all those people can a whole lot of drama...

College. On the other hand, has a lot of differences. College is optional to you and you do not have to go everyday if you don’t want to. You can come and go as you please, even in the middle of class. Well I have never had a TC lunch but I do have time to go and eat somewhere. There seems to be a lot more time between classes and every day I come I have something different to do. There is a ton more homework now and it’s a lot harder. There is no teacher that “rides” you for not getting it done. No bell to end class, and that was a big change for me. I do not know hardly anyone anymore. It is more responsibility on me.

Personally I like some different aspects of both. And as of right now I cannot make up my mind.

Me.

I suppose for this blog I will tell you a little blog about myself.

My name is Brittany and this is my first year in college. I intend to take my generals here at TC for a year and then I will pursue my nursing career somewhere else. I still live at home and work at the Gander Mountain here in La Crosse. I need to make more money before I go on my own. I tend to be shy when I am around new people but usually I’ll get over it. Some of my interests: anything to do outside, watching movies, sitting around campfires, football and taking naps. Also I am somewhat lazy. Winter is mostly my favorite season because of the fact I can sit on my butt all day and not feel bad that I am wasting a good day. I also love the summer though; I do love the hot weather. My favorite pop is wild cherry Pepsi. My favorite treat is fudge sickles. I am a huge Brewer fan; Ryan Braun is my favorite player. Also am a packer fan. Most people say I am a “country girl” but I’m defiantly not a hick. I listen to country music all the time. I also love when people can make me laugh. :)
